I was so happy when Lauren’s mom, Mary Anne, reached out to me about photographing Lauren and Riley’s wedding. I have known the family for a long time but had the privilege to get to know them better over the last year. They are very close and its so nice to be around a family that still spends time together and actually enjoys each other! Lauren’s dad is so proud of both his girls. He wore a tie that had both their pictures on it from when they were just little girls. It was so sweet!
Riley and Lauren have a beautiful relationship built on friendship first. They first met at Lenoir First Wesleyan Church where they both grew up in the same church and became friends before they ever started dating. Their friendship has allowed them to grow closer in their relationship and enjoy many moments over their years together. Riley and Lauren are both attending Appalachian State, where Riley is studying to become a teacher and Lauren is studying to become an ASL Interpreter.
Riley and Lauren exchanged their vows with Lauren’s grandfather officiating. It was such a sweet, personal and special ceremony. Riley was full of emotion when Lauren walked down the aisle with her dad. It was the the kind of moment every girl dreams of on her wedding day walking down the aisle! Riley and Lauren are both so patient, and kind. Working with them was a dream!
The evening was full of love, laughter, dancing and fun. We were able to sneak the couple away for some quick couples portraits right before sunset. And the couple had quite the send off in a vintage, blue mustang.
