A beautiful mountain top wedding at Hidden Hill Venue on top of Burkemont Mountain, North Carolina

Tasha and Austin got married at the gorgeous Hidden Hill Venue www.hiddenhillvenue.com last weekend. It was a beautiful day with lots of clouds rolling in and out. This venue is so beautiful and being outdoors with this mountain view while the couple exchanged their vows was so dreamy. One of my favorite things about this day was the couple. They are both so relaxed and authentic and I just love that about them. They weren’t uptight that things had to be “perfect”. They were just so happy to be getting married. Another favorite thing for me was a first look with the Bride and her dad. It was so special and emotional. I love the close connection they seem to have and it was very touching.

I met Tasha and Austin at Willie and Mallory’s wedding I photographed last December. They have a group of mutual friends so I felt right at home when I arrived at this venue and immediately saw some familiar faces. Austin is in the Army reserves with Willie and some of the groomsmen. They have a very close comradery and like to goof off and have fun. They are a bunch of cut ups and they kept me laughing the whole day. A funny thing I learned during the toasts, is that the guys call Tasha, “Mama” because she keeps everyone in line and takes care of them and “mothers” them all.
